Really enjoyed the food and the ambience of an old neighborhood French bistro. I love that the menu was written in French on a chalkboard and, if required, the English menu was also on a chalkboard that gets placed next to you to read. We had the rillettes d'oie (bone marrow and toast) and terrine de foie de volaille (chicken liver terrine) to start. For oir mains, we had the entrecote with gratin (ribeye) and agneau (lamb). Everything was delicious!
The food was average, neither great or bad. We had the steak, ravioli and bone marrow. The sauce for the ravioli was very tasty, the steak did not have much flavor, potatoes were good, bone marrow was fine.

Nourriture réchauffée, pas de vraie cuisine. Les tables sont tellement serrées qu’on peut à peine sortir. Notre table était collée à la barre de la cuisine ouverte, tout sort des pots congelés ou sous-vide. Il était un temps où Le Machon était un excellent petit bistrot!
Genuinely the best meal I had during my visit to Paris. The Bœuf bourguignon was incredible. The other dish I had, the duck, was even better! Please do yourself a favor and order the goat cheese and honey toast.
